Baseball Recap: Poca Takes a Loss

Poca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Nitro Wildcats, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Dots have lost by exactly ten runs.

Poca saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Waugh, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those hits were Waugh's first of the season.

Poca's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Nitro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Poca will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Marys at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nitro, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
