Basketball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside lost against Glencoe back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Southside Panthers lost to the Glencoe Yellowjackets on the road by a 67-51 margin.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Glencoe, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Southside Panthers duke it out with the Fort Payne Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glencoe, they will square off against Piedmont at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Glencoe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Piedmont likes a good challenge.
