Volleyball Recap: Dakota Takes a Loss

Dakota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

While Dakota was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Grosse Pointe South's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 26-24.

Dakota's loss dropped their record down to 6-14-2. As for Grosse Pointe South, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.

Coming up, Dakota will head out on the road to challenge Yale at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Grosse Pointe South, after both having extra time off, they and Anchor Bay will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
