Football Game Preview: Caney Creek Panthers vs. Conroe Tigers

Caney Creek is 0-3 against Conroe since September of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Caney Creek has given up an average of 42.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Caney Creek after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a blow against New Caney, falling 38-7. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Meanwhile, Conroe came up short against Willis on Friday, falling 31-10. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wildkats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Even if they lost, Conroe's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Duntavian Duckett was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. The game marked his first with multiple sacks this season.

Conroe's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Caney Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Caney Creek came up short against Conroe when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 41-37. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
