Baseball Recap: Oologah Has No Trouble Against Pryor

Oologah barely beat Pryor the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs blew past the Tigers 9-2 on Friday. That seven run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Kaden Fisher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Jett Griswold was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Carson Robertson, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Oologah pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pryor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oologah will welcome Miami at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Pryor, they will host Tahlequah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
