Basketball Recap: Lovell Falls Short Against Ranked Powell

On Thursday, Lovell faced Powell in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lovell Bulldogs took a 49-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Powell Panthers. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Lovell's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6. As for Powell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Lovell is on the road again on Saturday to play Hot Springs County at 12:00 p.m. Hot Springs County will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lovell surely won't give up without a fight. Powell has already played their next contest (against Buffalo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
