Baseball Recap: Manalapan Extends Winning Streak to Three

Manalapan extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 10-12 in the process. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Monroe Township Falcons a 2-0 shutout. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Braves have posted since April 30th.

As for Monroe Township, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.67 runs.

For Monroe Township's part, they got a good showing from Andre Love, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The Falcons are 2-1 when Love allows one or fewer earned runs, but 7-12 otherwise.

At the plate, Monroe Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braeden Hoiberg, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As of now, neither Manalapan nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
