Basketball Recap: Chavez Takes a Loss

Chavez suffered their biggest loss since January 14th on Tuesday. They lost 55-34 to the Kennedy Thunderbirds. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunderbirds earlier this season, when they won 53-51.

Kennedy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zikeem Dozer out in front who went 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points. Dozer continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Yoshi Tanaka, who went 6 for 8 en route to 14 points.

Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Kennedy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Chavez nor Kennedy have any future games scheduled.
