Hubbard had won three straight games and Braydon Songer did his part to make it four on Friday. The Eagles took their contest with ease, bagging a 51-7 win over the McKinley Red Dragons with plenty of help from Songer, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 296 yards and three TDs on only 19 passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 58 yards.
Michael Hazimihalis was Songer's top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 37 yards. Hazimihalis didn't just play on offense: he also made seven total tackles and defended one pass.
Hubbard didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Anthony Clark and TJ Miller.
Hubbard's record now sits at 4-0. As for McKinley, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
