Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Benicia). They never let Acalanes get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Tuesday. In other batting news, Kaity Nichols was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Rojas, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Alhambra's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's matchup. The Bulldogs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Benicia, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Alhambra continue to outrun the ball?
