Okeene added to the longest winning streak in A District 1 this week by beating Texhoma, 28-12. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Okeene made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,159 from 6,291. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 28-12 victory over the Red Devils last week.
Brett Fast threw for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 20-26 with 0 interceptions.
Fast put up the best numbers through the air as Fairview defeated Beaver. Fast's favorite target this week was Jensen Smith, who caught 4 passes for 65 yards.
The Yellowjackets' Fast and Smith have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Fast has thrown for 1,037 yards this season, while Smith has 36 catches for 412 yards. Jeff Wardlaw's team's Scott Dobrinski leads the league in rushing yards with 1,168.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Okeene takes on second place Mooreland.
