Soccer Recap: Kingwood Gets the Win

Kingwood won the last time they faced North Shore and things went their way on Saturday too. The Kingwood Mustangs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the North Shore Mustangs 2-1. Given Kingwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while North Shore is ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alex Scheidemantel and Daniel Palacios scored both of Kingwood's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Kingwood pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Shore, they now have a losing record at 4-5-1.

Kingwood will welcome Channelview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Shore, they will venture away from home to challenge Goose Creek Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
