Barnesville came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Shenandoah Zeps by a score of 7-3. That's more bragging rights for the Shamrocks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Peyton Loudin and Ella Betts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Loudin tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Betts tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Loudin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Loudin went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Betts went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Loudin's first of the season.

In other batting news, Barnesville let Aubrey Johnson and Emma Swan run wild. Johnson went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Swan went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Mariah Schaffer also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Barnesville now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Shenandoah, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Barnesville will face off against Bellaire at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shenandoah, they will challenge Caldwell at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Zeps' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redskins have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
