Football Recap: Trinity Wolves vs. Modoc Braves
Trinity lost against Modoc back in October of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trinity Wolves took a blow against the Modoc Braves, falling 49-14.
Trinity's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Miller Brown, who rushed for 112 yards on only 11 carries. Trinity also got help from Trintion Gillespie, who showed off his sure hands for 84 receiving yards.
It was another big night for Lewis Crumwell, who rushed for 190 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also caught a touchdown for Modoc. Crumwell really tore up the turf during one magnificent 84-yard run. Sutton Cockrell also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.
Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Modoc, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Modoc, they will take on Los Molinos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Modoc knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Los Molinos likes a good challenge.
