Soccer Game Preview: Perris vs. Tahquitz

The Perris Panthers will square off against the Tahquitz Titans at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Perris will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Perris' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Murrieta Mesa. Give Perris' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Angel Villar and Arisandy Pineda scored both of Perris' goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Tahquitz has been on a difficult stretch since their win on November 20. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Heritage on Wednesday.

Perris' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Tahquitz, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1.

Perris couldn't quite get it done against Tahquitz in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
