Last Tuesday, Lima Central Catholic was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-34 to Ada. The Thunderbirds have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Columbus Grove has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 54-39 to Ottawa-Glandorf. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lima Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Columbus Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.

Things could have been worse for Lima Central Catholic, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-39 loss to Columbus Grove in their previous meeting back in January of 2017.
