Trinity Christian is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will host the Immanuel Christian Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Trinity Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Trinity Christian came up short against Potomac School and fell 12-9. The Gryphons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Isaac Norman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Ryan Gardner was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Immanuel Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Front Royal HomeSchool on Friday and fell 7-5.

Caleb Fiala and Aidan Baxter put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Fiala didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Baxter tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Fiala scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Baxter scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jonathan Salter was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Klapmust, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Immanuel Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
