Football Recap: Central Tigers vs. Heavener Wolves
Central couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 23-14 to the Heavener Wolves on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Carson Payne was nothing short of spectacular for Heavener: he rushed for 155 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
