Yorktown took a 34-point defeat the last time they faced off against Langley, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Patriots pulled ahead with a 21-20 photo finish over the Saxons on Friday. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 48-14 win the Saxons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The victory got Yorktown back to even at 2-2. As for Langley, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Yorktown is taking a road trip to square off against McLean at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Langley, they will square off against Chantilly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
