Basketball Recap: Grace Prep Takes a Loss

Grace Prep lost against Calvary Christian Academy back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Grace Prep fell just short of the Calvary Christian Academy Conquerors by a score of 48-46. Grace Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Calvary Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Suttles out in front who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Paiton Zimmerman was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Grace Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Calvary Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Prep will welcome Columbia County Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will challenge Juniata Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.
