Preview: Horseshoe Bend Mustangs vs. Wilder Wildcats
The Horseshoe Bend Mustangs will be playing at home against the Wilder Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilder took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Horseshoe Bend, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Horseshoe Bend beat Vision 52-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Horseshoe Bend.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Horseshoe Bend to victory, but perhaps none more so than Layth Bromgard, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Porter Larson, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Wilder couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 60-31 defeat at the hands of Garden Valley on Wednesday.
Horseshoe Bend's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wilder, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Horseshoe Bend beat Wilder 41-34 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Will Horseshoe Bend repeat their success, or does Wilder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
