 Curie was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight  defeat. They fell victim to a  rough 9-0 loss at the hands of the Evergreen Park Mustangs. That's two games in a row now that Curie has lost by  exactly nine  runs.
 For Evergreen Park's part,  Yarim Garcia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). Garcia was even better at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 In other pitching news,  George Baughman looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched.
 Back at the plate,  Jack Hughes was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, a  stolen base,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Luke Medina, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 Curie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Evergreen Park, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with that  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home.
 Curie will take on Kennedy at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Evergreen Park, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Oak Lawn at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
