Wadsworth is 9-1 against North Royalton since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Wadsworth Grizzlies and the North Royalton Bears will meet for a tough Bear Battle. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wadsworth has five straight wins, North Royalton has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Wadsworth will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Solon, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Given the Grizzlies' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Comets are ranked 406th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North Royalton lost to Twinsburg at home by a 56-38 margin last Friday.

Wadsworth pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.8 points per game. As for North Royalton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Everything came up roses for Wadsworth against North Royalton in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-10 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wadsworth since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
