Volleyball Recap: Mill Valley Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Mill Valley had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Blue Valley Northwest Huskies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Mill Valley easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18.

Riley Riggs paced Mill Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Riggs got some help from Ella Florez and her 16 assists. Riggs was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Mill Valley's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Blue Valley Northwest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Mill Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Olathe South on the 4th. As for Blue Valley Northwest, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Heritage Christian Academy on the 4th.
