The Gallatin Raptors will square off against the Glacier Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Gallatin comes in on three and Glacier on ten.
Gallatin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Sentinel with points to spare, taking the game 34-16. Gallatin's victory was all the more impressive since the Spartans were averaging only 14.6 points allowed on the season.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Carter Dahlke and Rudy Hess. Dahlke had a great game and gained 97 total yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, Hess was balling out in the loss, rushing for 121 yards and one TD on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 39 yards and one touchdown.
Gallatin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dahlke and Bobby Gutzman. Gallatin received some extra help from Dahlke, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Glacier won against Big Sky back in October with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Wolfpack simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bozeman 42-7. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by 30 points or more this season.
Gallatin better keep an eye on Asher Knopik. He was instrumental in Glacier's win, rushing for 136 yards and three scores while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Knopik has posted since back in September.
Glacier's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Gallatin, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Gallatin has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 223.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Glacier struggles in that department as they've been averaging 227 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Gallatin ended up a good deal behind Glacier when the teams last played back in November of 2024, losing 46-27. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Wolfpack's Jackson Presley, who rushed for 107 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns. Now that the Raptors know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
