Recap: Cypress Ranch Mustangs vs. Klein Collins Tigers
Even though the Klein Collins Tigers scored an imposing 63 points on Thursday, the Cypress Ranch Mustangs still came out on top. Cypress Ranch took their match against Klein Collins 71-63. Given Cypress Ranch's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Klein Collins is ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Klein Collins' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aaron Perez, who scored 23 points along with 6 rebounds. The game was Perez's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greg Jackson iii, who scored 17 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Cypress Ranch and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Klein Collins, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-2.
Cypress Ranch will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Cleveland at 6:30 p.m. on November 30th. Cleveland is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Klein Collins, they will take on Tomball Memorial at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Tomball Memorial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
