Softball Recap: Rogers Comes Up Short

After flying high against Athens Bible on Saturday, Rogers came back down to earth. The Pirates fell just short of the Russellville Golden Tigers by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Tigers earlier this season, when they won 13-0.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Russellville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-25-1.

Rogers has already played their next match, an 8-4 loss against Hartselle on the 19th. As for Russellville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-2 defeat against Crockett County on the 19th.
