There's no place like home for Wausa, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While Wausa might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Hartington-Newcastle scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 27-25, 25-21.

Wausa's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Hartington-Newcastle, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

Wausa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Niobrara/Verdigre on the 2nd. As for Hartington-Newcastle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Creighton on the 2nd.
