The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Griffins' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Saxons are ranked 417th).
Los Alamitos found their leader in sophomore Ava Seedorf, who threw for 199 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.2% of her passes. Seedorf's passing game has become a key predictor of the Griffins' success: the team is undefeated when her passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-5 otherwise.
