Basketball Game Preview: Frisco Raccoons vs. Heritage Coyotes

The Frisco Raccoons will challenge the Heritage Coyotes at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Frisco fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Centennial two weeks ago but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 44-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raccoons have suffered since January 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, in Saturday's Canine Competition, Heritage had to take the L. They lost 57-31 to Plano West on Saturday. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Frisco will have to keep a close watch on Madison Ravin and Royal Crooks, a pair of players who had a big impact on Heritage's prior game. Ravin posted 12 points, while Crooks had five points and seven rebounds. Crooks has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Frisco, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for Frisco against Heritage when the teams last played back in November of 2021, as the squad secured a 63-33 win. Will Frisco repeat their success, or does Heritage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
