Basketball Recap: San Elizario Comes Up Short

San Elizario was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Riverside Rangers, falling 73-18. The Eagles lost against the Rangers in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 52-24 score last time.

San Elizario's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Riverside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

San Elizario and Del Rio will round out the year against one another at at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Las Cruces at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Las Cruces comes in on four and Riverside on five.
