Flag Football Recap: Prescott Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Prescott has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Badgers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Mountain Lions are ranked 55th).

Amiaya Tice continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mountain Ridge, throwing for 279 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 62 yards on only eight carries. A healthy portion of Tice's aerial production (100 yards to be exact) went to Kaliyahna Baldwin, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Prescott's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Mountain Ridge, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Prescott didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-0 win against Liberty on the 11th. As for Mountain Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 42-7 defeat against Hamilton on the 11th.
