Lone Pine waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Mojave Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

Lone Pine had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 26-28, 26-24, 25-16, 15-13.

Lone Pine's victory bumped their record up to 13-11-2. As for Mojave, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lone Pine will square off against rival Trona at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Mojave is set to face off against their familiar foe Immanuel Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
