Softball Recap: Chuckey-Doak Takes a Loss

Chuckey-Doak fell victim to Volunteer and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to the Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 two weeks ago.

This is the second loss in a row for Chuckey-Doak and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Volunteer, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chuckey-Doak will head out to take on Greeneville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chuckey-Doak's pitchers better be ready for this one: Greeneville has averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Volunteer, they will face off against Cherokee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
