Preview: Tipton Cardinals vs. Russellville Indians
The Tipton Cardinals will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Russellville Indians at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. Tipton will be strutting in after a win while Russellville will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Tipton beat Cuba 49-45.
It was another big night for Jackson Bailey, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Moon, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Russellville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to St. Elizabeth 85-80. Russellville has struggled against St. Elizabeth recently, as their game on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Tipton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Russellville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Everything came up roses for Tipton against Russellville in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 87-59 win. Will Tipton repeat their success, or does Russellville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
