Soccer Game Preview: Alhambra vs. Berean Christian

The Alhambra Bulldogs will challenge the Berean Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Alhambra and three for Berean Christian.

Alhambra managed to keep up with Miramonte until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Alhambra lost 3-0 to Miramonte.

Meanwhile, Berean Christian's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Benicia. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1195th, while the Panthers are ranked 417th).

Berean Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Alhambra, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Alhambra took their victory against Berean Christian in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alhambra since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
