Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alden-Conger). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 74-56 victory over the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Alden-Conger's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Lyle/Pacelli, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Alden-Conger won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Loyola at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Alden-Conger has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lyle/Pacelli, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Grand Meadow at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
