Tell City came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against South Spencer, but Kendall Lloyd wouldn't allow it. The Rebels had just enough and edged out the Marksmen 3-2 on Tuesday thanks in part to Lloyd, who had 31 digs and two assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

South Spencer took Tell City into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 16-25, 22-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Leading South Spencer to victory were Kali Wink and Brianna Walters. Wink had 12 digs, while Walters had eight digs. That's the most digs Walters has posted since back in September.

South Spencer was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive matches.

Tell City's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabele Kring, who had 14 digs and two aces.

South Spencer's record now sits at 12-14. As for Tell City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-12.

South Spencer has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against North Posey on the 11th. As for Tell City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Paoli on the 9th.
