Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain Crest Mustangs vs. Ridgeline Riverhawks

Mountain Crest hasn't had much luck against Ridgeline recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mustangs will take on the Riverhawks at 6:30 p.m.

Mountain Crest is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Sky View.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Ridgeline had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-10.

Mountain Crest better keep an eye on Jentzen Budge. He was instrumental in Ridgeline's win, getting nine digs and two aces.

Ridgeline was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive matches.

Ridgeline's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8. As for Mountain Crest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Mountain Crest might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Ridgeline when the teams last played back in March. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
