The Powers Catholic Chargers stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Midland, posting a 88-43 win on the road. Given Powers Catholic's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Chemics are ranked 562nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Powers Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Kelly, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Javontae Ross was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Powers Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Midland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Powers Catholic will head out on the road to face off against the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Midland, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Davison's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
