Softball Recap: Althoff Catholic Comes Up Short

Althoff Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Gibault Catholic Hawks. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Hawks when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Althoff Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Averi Turner, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. That hit marked the first that Turner got this season.

Althoff Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Gibault Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Althoff Catholic will take on Father McGivney Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gibault Catholic, they will face off against Chester at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
