Basketball Recap: Horton Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Horton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Atchison County Tigers by a score of 64-61 on Friday. Chargers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Tigers since Friday.

The victory got Atchison County back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Horton is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Perry-Lecompton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
