Softball Preview: Dexter Bearcats vs. Senath-Hornersville Lions        
        
		
            
 The Dexter Bearcats will head out on the road to  face off against  the Senath-Hornersville Lions at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Dexter is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
 Dexter is headed into the  contest fresh off scoring the most  runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Bloomfield last Monday as Dexter made off with  a  24-6 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Dexter considering their two-run performance the  matchup before.
 Meanwhile, Senath-Hornersville scored first but ultimately less than Portageville in their  match on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of  7-6.
 Senath-Hornersville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kylie Walker, who  fired off two  home runs and three  RBI while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaya Horton, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
 Dexter's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Senath-Hornersville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.
 Dexter was able to grind out a solid  win over Senath-Hornersville in their previous matchup  back in April of 2022, winning  6-3. Will Dexter repeat their success,  or does  Senath-Hornersville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
