Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buford). Their defense stepped up to hand the North Central Knights a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday. It was an even better day for Payton Bowers as she scored three goals for her team.

Buford has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those six games. North Central dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Buford will venture away from home to face off against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Central, they will face off against Great Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
