Glastonbury extended their winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from David Smith. The Glastonbury Guardians simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Cheney Tech Chargers 76-48 thanks in part to Smith, who almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Glastonbury's points.

Josh Smith was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Cheney Tech lost, don't look at Dazhaun Copeland. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points and seven boards. Wesley Brown also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Glastonbury pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Cheney Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glastonbury will head out to face off against Hall at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Cheney Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Woodstock Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cheney Tech is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.6 points per game this season.
