Softball Recap: Kaimuki Takes a Loss

Kaimuki was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-6 to the Castle Knights. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Maehalani Kinere made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Finau Taualupe was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Kaimuki's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kaimuki will challenge Kaiser at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Castle, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Kalani at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
