Baseball Recap: Malone Comes Up Short

Malone lost against Sneads back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Malone Tigers lost 21-2 to the Sneads Pirates.

Malone saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hoke Harkrider, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Harkrider is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season.

Malone now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Sneads, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Malone will venture away from home to take on Poplar Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Malone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Sneads, they will challenge Cottondale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
