Volleyball Recap: Shullsburg's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Shullsburg can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belmont Braves on Thursday. The Miners were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Braves earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

While Shullsburg had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 15-25, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Shullsburg lost, don't look at Isabelle Wiegel. Despite the final result, she had 27 digs. Wiegel is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 13 games she's played.

Shullsburg's loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9. As for Belmont, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-13.
