Baseball Recap: Ozark Tigers vs. Springdale Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fulton, Ozark was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Springdale Bulldogs. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2016.
Cooper Pumphrey tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hudson Roberts, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season. Peyton Bullinger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
