Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Silver Lake Regional walked away with it. They blew past the Wakefield Memorial Warriors 10-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Lakers have won 18 matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Silver Lake Regional's third in a row) raised their record to 19-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wakefield Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Silver Lake Regional will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
